Couple of questions about cargo

Hi

I'm new to game and have a couple of questions I'd much appreciate help with:

1 - How I view contents of my cargo hold? I'm sure this is a boneheaded question but I can't find out how to view what cargo I'm carrying in my hold - I've checked ship manual, etc but can't find any entry about this.

2- Does the cargo I'm carrying from a failed courier mission automatically become stolen goods and I can then only sell it at stations that have a black market trader ? (presumably low security systems?)

1.) the right-hand panel of your cockpit, and select the Cargo tab.

2.) yep. Although some courier missions don't have 'cargo' in your hold, so no 'stolen' stuff with that variant.

Hey CMDR, welcome aboard!

Your own cargo can be checked out in the right-hand ship UI panel along with a number of other ship system controls. I forget the default button for pulling that up, sorry, but it'll be in that right-hand pane.

And yes, a failed or abandoned haulage mission will result in the cargo being immediately flagged as stolen. You can sell it on the black market (provided you don't get busted going to a station that has one), or alternatively you can now dump it into space. If you're really lucky or you plan ahead, you can use the stolen cargo to complete a stolen cargo mission. Note you can't ditch live-mission cargo; only after you fail or abandon it does it "unseal" from your bays.
