Couple things really grinding my gears

So, I'm a new pilot to Elite Dangerous (not to elite, had it on the amiga, or to space sim sandbox games) so I'm not the best pilot but I have picked it up quite quickly I think

However, a couple things are really beginning to put me off

1 - Why, when I get pulled out of jump, by a wanted pilot, that instantly starts shooting me, and hitting me, I retaliate and suddenly get a freaking bounty on my head?

I can understand if I attack some innocent person or whatever, but seriously?

2 - Okay, players doing it is one thing, but NPC's constantly ramming me is really g me off. I see them surge towards me from 1-2km away so instantly I try to pull up/down or whatever directions going to be safer and yet they still hit me. Doesn't matter if I'm full on burning it or lowering my speed so I can turn better. I've had this happen to my last few ships now and it's especially annoying when I've managed to take them down to 15-20% hull without taking a single hit myself.

Yes, I'm aware I'll probably get flamed with remarks such as don't get so close bro, learn to move bro etc but when you start out in a sidewinder the idea is to get close is it not? Regardless, why does ever NPC need to do this, even in the scenario's i've noticed the federation do it as well as pirates.

I like the game, and I'm all for hardcore mechanics, hell, eve is still to this day one of my all time favourites but these 2 things are just ridiculous

I'm pretty sure both of issues are on the "to fix" list. What's bugging me is every time a pirate interdicts me they run away and vanish before I even get to shoot at them

yup ..... you bought in to the Beta so you be a tester of the games features and running before the game gets released.

congratulations on finding 2 of the issues ... although people will thank you more if you find some new ones before release

I don't understand how this is possible....

My experience is that having been interdicted, it takes several seconds for anything to appear in my vicinity (aka spawn time). In that time I can happily accelerate, boost, get the jump going, deploy weapons or whatever.

I never get hit "instantly" after being interdicted, so now I'm wondering why your experience is different to mine. Also, hit by an enemy but you get wanted? I never had that either... Are you sure you weren't wanted in the first place? - maybe that's why they attacked you...

Well,I'm just wondering why you have a different time of things.

Toad.

Hi Izi, and welcome.

As mentioned above, the 'ramming' thing is being addressed by the dev's and will be fixed in the fullness of time (i.e. soon™:p)

Normally, you will only get a bounty if you shoot the NPC before it has actually fired at you and HIT you - are you certain you've been hit?

Again, FD agree that this is illogical and it will be fixed (yep) soon™...

1) Those interdiction attackers that have aggressive language and open fire on you, yet remain unwanted during that engagement, are doing a "trick"- they must work secretly for the bounty commission or something.

The trick, in case you havent noticed yet, is that they always miss you. They are trying to scare you into firing back, and landing a hit on them... a criminal assault and bounty inducing attack on them.

If you take their bait, then they did their job; they generated a wanted bounty for the bounty commission to charge and pay out for [for whomever that benefits..?]. You may also notice that these "fake aggressors" also tend to warp away at the very first opportunity. Thats because their mission, their agenda, is complete!!

So, when that eagle is firing its beam laser at you, a good 5 feet over the top of your cockpit, lateral thrust up into it. MAKE them hit you, giving THEM the wanted status. Then you can attack them at will. Just patiently wait for them to hit you first.

Maybe its a police scam, maybe its a "discipline the hothead pilots" program. Apparently, it works on you!

2) Federation fighter pilots at that distress beacon are exhausted. They cannot even see straight after having been defending that cruiser for weeks without stop now. Some of them have lost the will to live. Some of them are bitter. And some of them have twisted moral centers.

So when you see one 90 degrees rotated out of alignment with you in a head on joust, and see his boosters flare... you officially got yourself a Kamikaze. He is lined up, and aiming, to ram your cockpit window (which is how he destroys your ship while rarely taking lethal damage himself). Whether to end his misery, "spit from hells heart at thy fancy ship!", or merely go out in a blaze of purposeful glory (it defended the ship, it got his family back home death benefits, and hes a hero for it)... it remains an effective attack to the unwary and inexperienced.

Ive found a left lateral with a roll for a moment throws off his attack run, and often results in my Cobra wingtip slicing his ship apart, with minimal shield damage to me.

1. If you are wanted and they are not, when they shoot at you they will not get a bounty, but defending yourself will get you a bounty. We're you wanted to begin with?

No, I was _not_ wanted. I just come from a station, no missions and just flying around trying to find unidentified signals.

I was completely clean, warped into one, target popped up, went red, started shooting at me and he hadn't said anything (like the usual, do you have nice loots") He was wanted. He hit me, since it tells me I am under attack and I see the little flashy stuff on the shield. I deploy hardpoints, spin around, hit him and get a bounty. He was an NPC.

I got him to major hull damage and he suicides into me (Actually don't think he blew up though, but I'm not 100% sure on that although I got no bounty)

I don't know what the guy a couple posts above is on about, I'm talking generally, not specifically. Both pirates and federation do it (but I don't usually fight federation just really on the scenario where you have to kill 3 of them without being noticed by the merc. I had a bit of trouble with it because they were always trying to ram me...in fact, the second I started shooting at them). However, pirates are doing it a lot. Most of the time I can dodge them but it's certainly a common thing.

Did not know these are known issues, sue me. I already stated I was new
