Ships Courier - BH Build Advice

So I'm doing an overhaul on my Courier at the moment and I can see from what others have posted that I'm under-utilising the ship and its unique capabilities.

My current ship build is posted here but I reckon my next step is to start reducing the weight and equip it with Performance Enhanced thrusters. I have the money to buy whatever's needed but I've barely done any engineering so I'll need to unlock anyone other than Elvira Martuuk. The Thrusters, Shield Cell Bank and FSD are already engineered to G1 but all these modules will likely be scrapped in favour of lighter ones now.

I use the ship mainly for bounty hunting and I get it shipped everywhere so I don't need a high jump range - anything >10Ly should do. Getting a boost speed of >600 is something I'll be aiming for as well.

Can anyone recommend a build I should be aiming or, or help with what I need to start working on?

Thanks in advance for any help guys!

A fantastic little fighter and I'm glad to see you got rid of the Imperial white paint! ;) both of mine are black friday scheme, as to builds to make best use of EP thrusters you need to be obsessive about mass here's my two builds, you'll need a lot of engineers unlocked and a lot of mats/data to get decent engineered parts.

TBH the L variant is too fast (for me anyway!) as you can overhaul your targets too easily and keeping the speed down to match theirs pushes you below the optimum agility zone, I'd suggest going with heavy as it has more punch and sensible speeds that make targeting and hitting a lot easier and requires less extensive engineering as well.

Heavy version using 3A thrusters

Light version with EP thrusters

Just put the heavy build into action and it's already a big improvement! Moves much quick and the PA is oh so satisfying to hit with. Many thanks for your advice

I would never listen to someone suggesting to install a docking computer... And on a icourrier!

are you really using that 3A power plant and 4A shield generator? You're so heavy, can you really keep the pulse lasers on the enemy?

I think the root cause of your problem is that your power plant and shield generator are too big and you are using weapons that don't play to the strengths of the courier
