Course plotting, Spansh & the Fleet Carrier

I know this topic has been oft covered but I just used Spansh.co.uk for the first time, successfully plotting a 7K LY route to the Bubble Sector. I'm only a few jumps in but I can't believe how user friendly it is- plug in some details and boom, go this-a-way! Is the 500 LY navigation limit arbitrary, or is there a reason ?
I'll post pics of some views but I'm left wondering why FD wouldn't want something like this in-game.

Yes. I used this during the betas and it was 100% working even back then. I think it's ironic that the developer of Spanch can make the development of such a useful tool look so effortless and bug free. Meanwhile frontier doesn't even implement a similar feature in-game, while creating big bugs during the implementation less challenging features.

Not saying the Frontier does not have good developers. I'm saying I don't believe Frontier is deploying their most experienced developers to Elite Dangerous. I'm guessing Elite Dangerous is a bit of a new developer training zone.

I think the developers made a decision way back that 3rd party developers would play a significant role in the game.
I know, obvious.

That more sounds like dumping ground for problematic management or engineers.

In my experience, development experience has no impact to the quality of the output, its purely a factor on the number of hours spent. Something has to be objectively spoiled for end users to see unfinished development.

Spansh is pretty much irreplaceable for exploration and it is easy, but I just don't understand how something like this didn't make it's way into the game. It's just crazy...

Today I went to www.spansh.co.uk, using a saved bookmark so no mis-typing, and got:

Your connection is not private

Unfortunately, it goes on to say:

spansh.co.uk normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chromium tried to connect to spansh.co.uk this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be spansh.co.uk, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chromium stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit spansh.co.uk right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.
So as per the last paragraph, it can't be used at the moment.

Hope it is indeed temporary.

Working fine on my system using chrome.

@OP - The fact that we don't have an actual bridge says it all. Nice thing about spansh is that you can download the route into CSV format, and upload it into a custom nav computer. A few of us have been testing, my carrier travelled back from Colonia on auto pilot, following the uploaded route.

My experience on PS4 was mostly good (had to type the jumps in and bookmark via my ship)

Just one issue came up when I wanted to divert it didnt recognise my target system I could only get to 350ly out and had to take my DBX in game went back on route fine did two equal sides of a triangle (base origional route)
