I would love a chance to fly The Bebop or The Hammerhead. The other two I didn't really like. Speaking of cross overs how bout a race like the one in Outlaw Star, you know that big race about half way thru the series?

Cowboy Bebop are real bounty hunters which are always in financial troubles, did assume their lifestlye and didn't whine about traders who do more money than they.

LOL! Cowboy Beebop is a seminal adult themed sci-fi series, maybe your ADHD has prevented you from seeing that

Granted, 90% of anime is absolute dross, but bebop is fantastic. Great funk, fusion, and blues soundtrack, well developed characters, and it doesn't take itself seriously. Any sci fi fan who writes off bebop because it is anime is doing themselves a disservice. But to have it in elite? Don't be silly.

90% of pretty much all media is dross.

I listen to the Bebop soundtrack as I boost around space, and that's enough for me.

I think you are confusing anime with hentai. Think of it like the relationship between music and rock. Music is the art form, rock is the genre.

Crossovers are generally poor, and I really don't see the need for them. Personally I really like Star Trek, and would love it if Elite was situated in the Star Trek universe. I mean Elite absolutely blows Star Trek Online out of the water. But its not a Trek game, and never will be. And you know, I'm actually sort of glad its not as its probably a better game because of that. No concessions have to be made due to imposed IP restrictions, no design decisions have to be made based on established ingame principles and fan expectations, and no huge amount of cash has to be coughed up for the license fee. The developers are completely free to follow their own vision for the game.

Well agreed. Anime does have more story lines and help for the ED universe than any other written Medium out there. If there is one thing I know for sure. Seeing ED populate their stories and ideas from shows like CB Universe and others would not be a bad idea at all.

At some point the ED universe creators cannot rely on themselves to create original content that will not become redundant and run of the mill, which I believe this game should never become.
