General / Off-Topic cpl ?s about steam client

hi Cmdrs.

I have never used steam as a client, all my games don't use a client to launch.
does it have any issues.
I'm looking into a game that is soon to be released for the pc. however for the pc it is only available as a steam release.
also my ED is not a steam release. will I have to use steam with it, if that client is installed? or can I keep it as is?

You'll be able to keep it as it is if you want.

The Elite client (or other game clients) shouldn't effect your steam account and steam shouldn't affect those games at all.
