hey dude, sorry that I came across like that, I was tired and a bit moody (it was late) .. so again, I apologise for that .. the thing is that personally I don't think it that reasonable of a request (just my view) to ask someone to stay up until silly O'clock to do a video/live stream .. when the stream is always available afterwards on YouTube .. I watch quite a few shows (live YouTube streams) from the U.S. and cannot enter any competitions or submit any live comments as I live in the UK and I certainly don't expect the show to do a special (by broadcasting at a reasonable time for me) as I fully understand that they are in a different time-zone and probably have busy days which would be seriously disrupted if they stayed up until silly O'Clock just to please some people.
also there are players of Elite all over the world - should they do specials for every time-zone ? ..
It's all good! I've been there before
I do understand it can be rough on staff to be up at odd hours, especially for work. I worked at a company where we had to be oncall 24/7 due to it being heathcare related software (totally different from games, I know.)
That being said, it would be nice for them to have an event (maybe one out of every 6 or 8) that includes participation (such as the CQC events) rotate a bit through different time zones to help others feel included (and there are quite a few of us American pilots, I swear!). Hopefully with it being once every two or three months it won't burn anyone out. If it's just a live stream, for sure, catch it on youtube, but I would love the chance to shoot down Ed or Sandro during one of those events!
