CQC against the devs - The Danger Zone - Tonight at 7PM BST

Can we have one of these be during US prime time? It seems every single special event is done via UK time (yes, I know fdev is located there) but you have a global fan base! Please consider this.

So you want FD staff (based in England) to stay up till, what? .. two or three in the morning so you can get your content at a time that suits you, try YouTube, it's what people in the UK have had to do for years

Yes, other international groups do this for players around the world. It doesn't need to be all the time, but it would be nice to be included maybe every few streams. I do watch them on youtube and I enjoy it thoroughly, however I'd also like to try to get a match with them. I don't understand why you were so vitriolic in your response; it was a perfectly reasonable request.

hey dude, sorry that I came across like that, I was tired and a bit moody (it was late) .. so again, I apologise for that .. the thing is that personally I don't think it that reasonable of a request (just my view) to ask someone to stay up until silly O'clock to do a video/live stream .. when the stream is always available afterwards on YouTube .. I watch quite a few shows (live YouTube streams) from the U.S. and cannot enter any competitions or submit any live comments as I live in the UK and I certainly don't expect the show to do a special (by broadcasting at a reasonable time for me) as I fully understand that they are in a different time-zone and probably have busy days which would be seriously disrupted if they stayed up until silly O'Clock just to please some people.

also there are players of Elite all over the world - should they do specials for every time-zone ? ..

It's all good! I've been there before :)

I do understand it can be rough on staff to be up at odd hours, especially for work. I worked at a company where we had to be oncall 24/7 due to it being heathcare related software (totally different from games, I know.)
That being said, it would be nice for them to have an event (maybe one out of every 6 or 8) that includes participation (such as the CQC events) rotate a bit through different time zones to help others feel included (and there are quite a few of us American pilots, I swear!). Hopefully with it being once every two or three months it won't burn anyone out. If it's just a live stream, for sure, catch it on youtube, but I would love the chance to shoot down Ed or Sandro during one of those events! :)

Fair enough, but once again if they do that for the U.S. then they HAVE to do it for every other major time-zone, I think it would cause more problems than it solves to be honest. I do get where you are coming from .. I just don't think it's that simple unfortunately .. but you never know .. they might go to a Games Fair (like E3) in the US .. and will be able to do just that ... :)
