CQC Deathmatch chat "disabled"?

Only happened after the fleet carrier patch, is it a bug or...

99% sure it's intentional. In my experience people rarely used chat in death match except to coordinate (not desirable in a free-for-all) or to insult each other.

Enabling chat in DM was the bug, it's now back to what it should be. Chat is still available in TDM.

Definitely not a bug, since the chat window specifically states that comms is not available in deathmatch if you try to write something.

Not a bug OP. Chat is meant to be disabled in DM.
It was a bug that was enabled prior last update.

Thanks god they fixed that.

Looking at how comms are used in most deathmatch type games its probably for the best they are disabled.

What the could do would be to allow a limited set of text/emotes that you can send to everyone or the last person you killed or were killed by.

Like thumbs up, thumbs down, smile, apologies, etc.
