CQC Faction, unfair BGS

Hi,

I am observing since weeks a MF called CQC Holdings.
This faction is native in a system (CD-43 11917) with permission required and with only 3 MFs. Consequently, they are always in expansion and it is not possible to do anything to avoid it.
They are expanding every 2 weeks since they were created.

It is normal? Can we do something against it? Ideas?

Other than fend of expansion attempts ad infinitum? Only if you get the CQC permit and can work against the faction on their home turf.

Well, CQC Holdings isn't a PMF, so no rules broken by being in there.

Puts on my pedantic hat strictly speaking, there's no such thing as "unfair" in the BGS... it's just the background sim.

CGs, thargoid attacks, government effects and other artefacts of FDs design are all "unfair" in the context of a "balanced, competitive group vs group" gameplay mechanic. .. which is not what the BGS is.

Go earn the permit and knock it down i guess. Or put in a support ticket that the bgs should be disabled in the cqc system. That seems to be the cool thing these days.

Get the permit, run missions for one of the other two factions a bit.

You could also expand other factions into there - difficult, but I don't think impossible: you'll just have to expand to everywhere else in range first.

(Declaration of interest: my squadron probably would object to CQCH being pushed out of control of the system, but I don't think we care about the expansions at all. And we'd be happy to give you advice on getting the permit)
