CQC matchmaker utility - players in queue

So I entered the CQC arena, and was presented with the usual three match modes. Opted for Capture the Flag and entered the matchmaking queue... of course in real life a queue is visible. You know where you are in the queue and - roughly - how long you need to wait for.
As a suggestion could some hint of numbers &/or waiting times be presented, ideally before I hit the button and start waiting.... It need not be absolutely accurate. Going back to my real life queue analogy; When in a queue I can't predict exactly how long I'm queuing for - but at least i'm informed enough to be able to determine if it is worth waiting.
This isn't a novel idea to be fair; there are plenty of PVP games out there that face all the usual challenges with matchmaker algorithms, but at least the better ones out there inform the player. Happy to mention one or two if anyone is interested in this post.

It doesn't know how many are in the "queue" it's constantly trying to connect to anyone else it can find using the P2P matchmaking it uses for all the instances in the game.

When you click, there are zero in the "queue"

Yes of course. The suggested enhancement is indeed of limited value if there are no other players waiting to be connected,or indeed interested in arena combat. I suppose I will just need to keep watch for any arena events being promoted in the forum...

I just assume the deathmatch is going to have the best chance for a match. TDM is unbalanced with 3 players so you need to hope for 4. CTF has the same issue.

For Deathmatch it's easy - DM will start with two players, so if you're not getting a match, then you must be the only player looking (or the ninth player, of course, waiting for someone to drop out)

For TDM/CTF you need a minimum of four and it would probably help if it showed you how close you were to that or if there were full matches on that you might be able to join soon.

It's true that there's not a "queue" as such - but it does know how many other people are searching for a match of that type and not already in a match.
