So, I'm a late comer to Elite Dangerous on XBox and I'm wondering if there is still CQC going on and how someone with Rank 01 can even get into CQC. The popular explanation I've heard that is why do CQC when you can just PvP in game.. but I think it'a good risk free distraction to get frustration out or something along those lines. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Yes there is CQC going on. There are usually Death Match games going on between around 17:00 to 00:00 UTC on the PC. The player base is smaller on the xbox but I know there are some specific CQC events organised.

CQC is very different that PvP int he main game. It is generally faster and the playing field is pretty level.
