CQC CQC Solo Mode?

Has there been any discussion of a solo mode with just AI? Some of the best frag type games offer a way to incorporate AI in the foray. A selectable number in solo mode to fight against or add in AI for lobby searches that take too long. This way there will always be 8 players. Just a thought

I'm not keen on incorporating AI into the main CQC game, but certainly a training mode would be a great addition to familiarise yourself with the ships and levels.

I think there does need to be NPC ships in CQC, I'm tired of being on the bad end of a 2v4 match because 4 of the players are in a squad and instances with them in it are the only available matches to join. A 3v4 or a 2v3 fight can be somewhat fair depending on player skill level but when a player on the two person side can be taken out before the respawn timer allows their teammate back in or before that teammate can possibly make it to the battle, then the 2v4 ends up being more like 1v4 except the team with 4 people will be able to get kills faster than if it was an actual 2v4. And when the squad and matchmaking system keep you battling the same squad of 4 players who seem to always exit when the teams become anywhere near balanced, you will often find your 2v4 match becoming an actual 1v4 match as your teammate rage quits. Until there is a mechanic to always balance the teams regardless of being in a squad, there will be a need for NPC players to even out teams. And for those of us who live in areas where few if any people are playing CQC and for when interest in CQC dies off, it will be very hard to impossible to play any matches of CQC without having NPC ships. Thus there exists and will always exist a need for NPCs in CQC.

Agreed. In order to get better, varied levels of AI could be used in training. It wouldn't affect overall ranking, but novices could play without consistently getting whooped. Personally, it would make it more accessible

Hi Makasuro, from Damai ;)
Indeed we would need a training/test/friend mode to be able to try out different equipments alone but also with teammates. Of course AI would be nice to have in this mode, but also have the ability to visit maps alone and quietly would be great.

AI in a CQC training mode? Sure. AI in online games? No

Makasuro, I don't think bot is a good idea too. However I would accept it eventually if we are hard to find a match.
It's almost a torment to players who wait over 2 hours and found no match.
Fix the match system or add the bot system.

Xbox player here and I hate to say it but bots would be welcome in all modes for me right now. I would rather grind out lvls against 3 players and one bot then sit there in a lobby waiting for hours for that one more person to start the match. This is coming from someone who hates bots in a mp situation, but right now it's better then the alternative

I'd be more inclined to play CQC against bots than players. I played 30 minutes on release day, and nothing since. PvP games have never been my bag. I'd enjoy a solo game of CQC though.

We didn't have PvP in the 80's lol. Not unless your opponent was standing next to you at the time. Competitive online multilayer is too newfangled for this old timer.

I'm wearing slippers and drinking cocoa right now.
