CQC CQC Voice Comms Question/Problem

Problem: Can't use voice comms in CQC (only).

Can use voice comms with other player in main game or just from main menu, but as soon as either person enters CQC, that person's mic goes dead. My voice icon will be shown sometimes as mute, but the other person is not mute. That person sees the reverse.

Tried turning on all voice options within CQC with no effect. What am I missing?
 
You sure the problem was on your side?

Well we both had the exact same problem from separate machines in different locations. We also don't hear anyone else in the room.
As if the whole voice comms was shut off for CQC only. I see the mic icons with a line through for all other players (except friend with different mute or unmute icon).

I assume I'm missing something obvious.

Which game mode are you playing? If it's Death Match (free for all) voice comms are disabled..
