CQC would let me allow my son to handle an ED ship

The good thing about CQC when it does finally come out for PC is that as it is a separate mini game away from the main game I could safely let my son who is 8 years play that.

Although I would still have to supervise he does not go to the menu for the main game and play that.

that's really cool, i hadn't thought about that.. it will give us an opportunity to allow partners and friends to try it out to without fear of loss too :)

just what elite needs....i'm sure..
as there are free for all maps it wont really adversely effect anyone else's game other than maybe slightly easier kills.. although, the way younguns are these days, id not be surprised if 8yr olds start kicking some ass within a short time lol

I've also been using the training missions to let my boy fly a spaceship.

My two year-old likes "zapping" in the training missions already. He has the stick and trigger, I have the throttle and thrusters (maybe with me subtly guiding the stick too).

Maybe the CQC will give a less predictable environment for an older kid, but the training missions are already an option.

I agree. A less daunting, more pew pew quick satisfaction oriented introduction will work wonders for the toddlers as well. :)
