CQC

Wow. You guys make it sound like a blast. I've always thought that the Rift enhances combat including pvp because thereare no barriers to situational awareness. It makes sense that it would help combat in CQC.

Played CQC for the first time on the rift what a fantastic experience gripping to the max, runs smooth as silk, very very impressed with the experiences you can get in VR best 280 quid I've spent when it comes to game enjoyment. And it's only going to get better

Rob

Yeah, its pure fun in the rift. Fly save and have fun CMDR.

+1
Elite is amazing in VR for the simple "awe" of being in space and really rams home the feeling of how small we are.

CQC now adds to that by adding a balls up mental action experience into the mix.

Balls up mental like it . There is no rest bite whatsoever, and the fov is mind blowing you can track a target with ease and getting through small gaps is so much easier, apart from when you hit something then it goes mental

Thanks CMDR enjoying every second fly safe

Well I had a go at CQC in the Rift this evening ... and it was jaw droppingly good.

Smooth as silk and much MUCH more fun that I had imagined. Plus .. the Condor is an awesome little ship and looks fantastic!

Glad you gave it a go Casper and yes the condor is a great ship I'm on level 8 and still use it lol. And isn't it nice to play with such a steady fps, and I noticed the ships in CQC are so much more defined and clear than in the main game well for me anyways

Funny, I just took the DK2 off and switched back to the monitor for the first time in months..... and of course it was also the first time that I tried CQC.
Looks like I missed out.

Funny, I was worried about being able to see the enemies properly. I'll be goggling up topnight.

There is no problem seeing the enemy ships and you can track them with ease try it you won't regret it

Totally agree, CQC is a great experience in VR! I need to put in some more hours this weekend! Like a plonker I didn't realise for the first 5 matches or so that the pulse lasers were auto targeting, I was aiming lol and forgot to target enemy's! Have been a bit combat shy since I've been hauling warez around in my Type 6...

I changed my hun colour to blue now I cannot tell who is who I just wait for someone to shoot at me and shoot back lol

I've had a blast (pun fully intended) playing CQC. It is a trip in the Rift, love the Astelia zone. I seem to be pretty good at it as well, which is nice, even though I was playing up to level 21 with the basic ship setup.

I wish they would extend the kill score requirement higher as well as the timer, these matches are over way too quick.

Gotta love CQC with the rift. Playing Condor only fully taking advantage of maneuvering. It is very hard to loose a condor piloted by a rift user.

The ol' git in me really wanted to hate CQC. The young(ish) remaining bit of me went Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!, just one more.

Tiz rather good.

Can we have more structures to fly about in the proper game please.

Yeah more structures in the full game would be great. They could make the stations just a bit modular with random attachements
and supporting structures. As good as they are on doing procedurally generated stuff in the game, I assume it would be trivial to
make 1000s of different stations types and sizes just by a modular design and a random number generator. Having vastly different
stations on both on the outside and inside would make every visit so much more exciting.

I cant get my head around that its not in the game. Anyone got a clue why?
