Horizons CR required for Python - recommendations please

OK so i have about 85M CR. 3 ships in fleet which i don't want to sell (ASPX, VULTURE, Cobra MK4). Unless of course you think i can sell the ASPX (25M CR) and buy it later if i need it. I'm not an explorer (mainly use the ASPX for Skimmer missions and mining and is my goto ship).
I am working towards CR for a Python. I have around 85M CR and should be around 100M within next 2 days. Is this enough for a standard Python with "some" enhancements (i.e. not stock) to replace my ASPX?. I suspect not.
What is a safe amount to get before I get one?

You should just use one of the shipyard sites (ED, Coriolis) and play with loadouts and see what cost you'll have to pay for them. When you've settled on something acceptable add some rebuy to the cost and make that your target.

I saved 200M before I bought my Python, but I always buy A grade and like having a large CR cushion.

I have a C/D rated one equipped for mining. Self defense is beam laser and two burst turrets which do well to swat eagles and such. I don't use it for dedicated combat though. Strictly transport and mining. No engineerings - never had real trouble, yet. If I see the Pimpaconda I just highwake out.

You can buy the basics with 85 mio but it depends what you want to do with it.
Combat? You need the military hull reinforment which cost about 140mio or so.
If you low on money and cant afford the best loadout, engineers are your friends :)

~85 mio for a trade python, which will fly like an adder with d-class thrsuters - the fun starts at ~115 with a multi-purpose build. the python really wants 6A thrusters. combat ... well, much more.

below 85 mio you are just asking for rebuys.

if you can live with the downgrade in jumprange, sell the aspE to finance your python - i did so for my first python.

My personal rule of thumb is to never buy a ship unless I have 3 times the stock cost in the bank. This generally allows for decent outfitting and at least one rebuy plus a full cargo hold.

By my experience you can go to 2 options:

-With that credits you will get a decent mining-trade Python, capable of kill ships like npc-clipper, but you get a rebuild cost of 3,9 mil. Mostly D-grade internals, only FSD A-grade.
-For a decent, full multipurpose Python, you will need 220 Mil, and like 12 Mil por every rebuild. A-grade and military composite.

Remember, this is for PVE, without a modded Python in PVP will sucks, sure.
