Cracked the alien code!!

The sound itself is a nod to a film based on carl sagans book contact, the sounds are similar;

I suspected that its to be decoded ithe same way as sagans other message the Arecibo message; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arecibo_message just im trying to find a way to reverse engineer the sound into data using that wiki articles method I feel this wil be quicker than watching contact itself.

I do think sound cancellation may or may not reveal a numeric code or sequence like that in the above link possibly, the formulae to witch may well be the cipher that may translate into a two dimensional array of numbers at anybase, im researching this as we squeak.


In the movie contact the sound is a time place and date!! I bet this sound is the same thing so hang in there and please let me know of ways to reverse the sound im a computer science student, my house mate ( CMDR Akoben) is a physisist and sound enthusiast but what we dont have is anymore ideas just yet.

Also the howls at the begining and end of the code could be numbers X and Y and the number of clicks could be number Z and thats your XYZ coords in light relative measurement of some kind relative to the centre of the galaxy or summat.

Turns out, it was just a Thargoid grocery list... guess that's the brakes.

Let's see, hemorrhoid cream, diapers, headache medicine and it looks like someone wrote in Lavian Brandy. My god, they're so much like us!

I really doubt that there is any kind of cryptic complicated code or something hidden deep in the engine that waits for discovery, given how hollow the game is in every other aspect.

They don't sound similar at all. Also, your links are backwards. The first link is the clip from Contact, second audio link is the unknown artifact.

not literally but they are mathematically, the speed up of purrs and the galactic scream noise are very similar in form

ALso the muddling was deliberate.

No there will be it'll be something really vague though like THE THARGOOIIDDS ARE COMMINNNNG or be a really vague clue as to a system we should go to and everyone'll get super hyped. Then Frontier will know oh, the communities cracked our cryptic message, better put a couple of rare thargoid ship encounters and another puzzle in there somewhere then we'll probably have to go crack another puzzle that unlocks some other puzzle/arbitrary event and reward. It'll essentially let them stretch the release out as long as possible cause they blatantly haven't got the main Thargoid content ready yet. (Though I really suspect the smaller ships and a Thargoid outpost are ready to go in an update as soon as we crack the puzzle/frontier thinks it's time to sneak them in.)

By the time Thargoids arrive, mankind will have moved on to another game ^^
