Newcomer / Intro Crash as soon as I click 'Play'?

There should be a 'verify game files' or similar somewhere on the launcher program.
Or uninstall and reinstall
Or try on the support area
 
Servers are a bit flakey tonight.

Been disconnected several times.

I normally have no problems - something up at the server end.

Also noticed YouTube go offline briefly earlier today. I verified with different machines connected to different IP lines. Could be internet related issues that are also affecting Elite servers on AWS.

I don't feel like that has to do with me crashing everytime I click 'play' at the launcher...
 
You don't say what sort of crash you get. Everything hangs? BSOD? Crash back to desktop? Crash back to desktop with a message?

As soon as I click 'Play', it takes a few seconds then I get a crash report, the game didn't even begin to run seemingly. The launcher stays open so I can click play again, and I get a pop up window to Send or Don't Send a crash report (I've sent multiple).

Go into the control panel, administrative tools and look at the log files for any crash reports related to ED and post the crash codes here.

Does the pc crash on any other games?

What is your pc spec?

1. How do I get the crash log files? Where are they?

2. No. Literally just this game. Spent $60 on it an I have to wait >1 day for a reply to a support ticket. Bullsh*t.

18 gigs of RAM.

The log files vary with each version of windows.8-((

Try the control panel, system security, administrative tools, event viewer.
