Crash when using vegetation brushes and flickering species viewer... I would submit to Issue Tracker but it's telling me I can't at the moment.

Since the new update/DLC, I am having constant crashes on every game mode whenever I use any of the vegetation brushes. This has happened literally every time I have tried to use any of the vegetation brushes.

Additionally, in the species viewer the creature models are missing from the screen aside from the occasional frame where they flicker on the screen and then disappear again.

As mentioned, I am unable to report this on the issue tracker as it tells me 'Unfortunately you are not able to submit an issue at this time. You can still browse existing issues or, alternatively, try again at a later date.'

Not only is this incredibly unhelpful, but I can not see any reasonable explanation as to why a customer should be denied access to the tech support for a product.

In terms of things I have tried, I have done the following

  • Two fresh installs of the game. I had previously been using some mods, hence the fresh installs, however for some reason the game continues to insist that 'some of my game files have been modified', despite multiple fresh installs.
  • Verified integrity of game files on steam.
  • Ensured graphics drivers are up to date.
  • Turned graphics settings down to see if it was an issue with this (despite being able to run the game on very high settings prior to the update).

I understand that bugs etc will happen from time to time, however it is infuriating to be inexplicably denied access to technical support when the game has essentially turned unplayable for me overnight.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Doubt they can do anything, when you have used mods. That's probably the reason your game is messed up. Did you delete all the mod files?

Frontier always stated mods could ruin game files...

Yes, I did delete them and installed the game multiple times from fresh. The game is still telling me files have been modified.

I understand that mods can cause crashes particularly after a new update but as stated the mods have been deleted and the game has been freshly installed, just as if it was the first time it had been downloaded, so all of the files currently present are those that are in the game by default.

Still the issues persist. There are no mods in my game files any longer and the problem remains.
