Crashing on planets from supercruise, possible now?

I mean, right now, going from supercruise to the planet right now interrupts supercruise, but you don't crash.

Now, with the new mechanics, will it be possible to crash against the planet directly from supercruise? or will you just drop to orbital flight abrutly without crahsing, similar to how it is now?

Edit: This shows SC to orbital cruise (OC?) I believe crashing is very possible given that it was cited as one of the issues preventing a release yesterday. Not sure exactly how but I guess we will find out next week.

I'd imagine, but could be and probably are incorrect, that the planetary landing thruster module (or what ever it will be called) that you'll have to purchase will allow you to be able to transfer to the planet instance. Without it you will probably crash into the planet. Not sure if they'll allow scanning from orbit, or if you'll have to enter the planet instance to scan. This will make a huge difference in the process, so lets hope FD gets it right.
