Crashing to desktop problems if you have SLI cards installed

I have experienced over 30 crashes to desktop over the last few days (with the hardware dump reports going to FDEV)

I have turned off the SLI features of my 2 x GTX1080 FE cards and the system is considerably stable and a much improved speed of the game. Hope this helps someone.

I have SLI and have not had any CTD's. My guess is your system is overheating due to improper cooling and/or you have power issues (cheap power supply).

water cooled system running pretty cool and the corsair AX860i platinium psu hardly ever has to kick its internal fan in as it run very efficiently. Intersting though ;)

Yes and correct the GPU's are air cooled and only the CPU is watercooled. I am guessing the main issue is the way the 3D and Physix roles are configured in the Nvidia Interface, but just happy to get Odyssey up and stable. :)

I have two 1080's in SLI and Odyssey was running horribly, I had to place the settings on low and it crashed at predictable "transition" sections, such as entering/exiting OC, entering/exiting the hangar, entering/exiting the elevator. And it stuttered. It felt like every time I did something, i was rolling the dice to see if it worked. It got so bad, that I would switch to Horizons to travel somewhere and then back to Odyssey to walk around.

Now, after disabling SLI, it runs much smoother. In fact, I've been playing for well over an hour and not ONE crash yet. On top of that, I've been able to bump the settings back up to Ultra and maintain the smooth performance.

If you have SLI and are getting these crashes, I highly suggest you try disabling it. It has really transformed my experience.

I have two 980s in SLI and have yet to play longer than 10 minutes without giving up and going back to Odyssey after several CTDs.

I'll try disabling it later and see what happens.

I am on 6700k and 1080ti, all running in default state, and I get 100% crash on odyssey when launch from in game menu, be it solo or open. after load it crash right to desktop. integrity check and complete uninstall and install, from either steam or ED client still not playable at all.

This only happen after the last patch a few days ago.

And when try Horizons it said "commander load failed" instead of crashing, either way, the game is literally completely broken.

In my game history I have never had anything this bad ever happened.
