crazy interdiction spam

OK, I got a bit greedy and took a few missions - ranging form low ranked to Elite.

Shortly after getting all the commodities needed I get the usual mission updates: 2 redirects and a few hostiles that are looking for me. Nothing unusual.

Until I get the last commodities form a planetary outpost. The target system was behind the horizon and I had to make one of those time consuming 90° jumps into SC to get a free line of sight for the hyper jump.
The moment I get out of orbital cruise I get interdicted. That NPC had to be exactly behind me and basically taking of the planet at the same moment than I did. (Not to mention the NPC simply spawned out of nowhere).

I fight the interdiction, win and jump.

On entering the target system I get the usual chatter that a NPC wants to interdict me - again nothing unusual.
Since I had to deliver some cargo to a station in that system I just waited for the interdiction. NPC already targeted, an Elite FdL. That slightly distracted me as I fly a FDS with a full cargo hold.

Making a nice loop around the station and I get interdicted - by a Novice DBS. Slightly surprised I fight the Interdiction.
After some maneuvering around I win the interdiction.
Just to be interdicted again.
The blue tunnel didn't even stop.
Seamless interdiction. This time the FdL.
I fight the interdiction.
You guessed it, I win the interdiction AAAANNND get instantly interdicted again. Just an endless interdiction. This time a Python.
OK, you might think that would have been enough.
Nope.
Same game again. I win the interdiction and get interdicted again.
No interruption, nothing, absolutely instantly and seamless.
I won the interdiction and managed to dock.

Completely crazy those NPCs.

Love my FDS.

Why not just kill them all?

At first I simply didn't want to waste some time fighting against a DBS.
Then I simply was in the mood of trying how many interdictions I could evade.

The trip from one station in the system to the next resulted in 3 interdictions in short succession within 300 ls.

At the next system again 3 interdictions.

The jump to the final station was fun. Two of the NPCs jumped to the station - one, the DBS, just boosted away from me to the station. The second NPC - a deadly Anaconda - deployed it's SLF, followed confused an Orca, crashed into the station and boosted away. It jumped away before leaving the no fire zone.

A deadly or elite Anaconda with SLF, this is going to hurt quite a few CMDRs.

Maybe I will fight against the NPCs the next time. Not sure if that's a good idea to fight Elite NPCs in my sluggish Dropship.

"Shortly after getting the commodities I needed.."

No need to continue; that's by design. You are a pirate magnet the moment you have any "special secret squirrel" commodities used by engineers. This is why hoarding them (as an example) is never a good idea. Imagine if you did that? :)

I expected to get interdicted, that's not what surprised me.
The crazy thing was the endless interdiction with one interdiction evaded resulting in instant new interdiction. It wasn't one interdiction and then a few seconds later the next one. It was instant.

I had a lot of fun, but it certainly was strange and in my opinion would probably be better if it changed (just a few seconds time between interdictions).
