create a dueling coster?

Place an existing blueprint, or make one from scratch? With placing, you just need to find a blueprint you like and plunk it down. Making one yourself is a bit trickier. It's not something I have a lot of experience with or desire to do, but I'm familiar with the process.

If making a dueling coaster, you have 2 main options.

1. OLD WAY. It can all be 1 single ride, the track of which follows essentially the same layout twice with parallel tracks. The idea is, Train A completes the 1st lap by itself then, when it comes by the station, Train B leaves the station. So Train B is now going on the 1st set of tracks that Train A just finished, and Train A meanwhile is starting its 2nd lap on the parallel track, so now Train A and Train B are dueling. Meanwhile, Train C is entering the station to load, which it finishes just as Trains A and B return to the station area. Train A enters the station to reload, Train B is on the 2nd lap track, and is now racing Train C which just left the station. And so it cycles, each train racing the other 2 in turn. This all requires very careful track design and manipulation of brakes and loading times so that the 3 trains remain at the proper spacing and timing.

2. NEW WAY. Build 2 (or more, up to 5 I think) totally separate coasters. In general, these should be identical in all respects except for being mirror images of each other. IOW, when 1 turns left, the other turns right. These are built so that most of their tracks run side-by-side. Set them both up the same as to number of trains, brakes, lifts speeds, station wait times, etc., then check the box that synchs them together. Done. Much simpler than the old way, but it does require having 2 rides instead of 1.
