Create a new Commander ?

Played the game since the day it come out (kickstarter) but took a long break a few years back.....itching to get back into the game but it looks like, when I click START, I need to make a new commander name. I'd love to get my old stuff back but dya think my old commander has been wiped? If I tried to create a new Commander with the same name might it link back in?
I would drop a ticket in but would like to see if anyone else knows 1st - quite attached to my hour 1 commander...

You haven't brought the game again have you...?
Your CMDR should be tied to your original account, so should still be waiting on log in.

Unless you cleared your save when you last stopped playing, and never logged in again?

Support might be able to help.

All the above are good replies.
But if you've been away for "a few years" you probably haven't done any engineering or other stuff that you really need.

Credits, so I read, are very easy to come by these days. There is also a new Cmdr start experience which is quite good.

You should consider starting again (maybe with the old Cmdr name) and experience ED in it's new state.

If you don't mind telling me your old Commander name, I could try looking it up in the game - if it's there the profile wasn't deleted, and I highly doubt it could be deleted. You have probably logged in from another account. Your Commander profile is linked to your account.

Try contacting support if you're lost.
