Create a Plaza

How do I create a plaza with paths? I keep trying and keep getting holes and odd shapes. I want to create large area with shops around the edges.

Also, on the topic of paths. How do I create several single paths in a row next to each other? I want to create sort of a entrance building with half walls between several rows of paths. Except the keep trying to connect to each other.

Any path tutorials or video links would be appreciated.

I figured out how to make one but i have no clue how to post the pics I took.

By using angle snap you can control how it may look for basic shapes. Wider paths will give it that feel too. Using the grid function you can also use square edges to give it a plaza feel.

You can do this using "select Grid" and select a grid at ground level from where your path end is. The below "select Grid" select the "Square edges" tick box. Now you can just fill out the blocks from your path point and make a large continuous plaza of any shape and size you want.

So first you want to click the path button, then click the "Select Grid" button. place the grid where you want to start you plaza. then go into the advanced settings tab which is the button with the 3 points and lines right above the angle snap slide bar. Deselect the kurb on ground path option. now just place your paths within the grid. Once you have your plaza set out you can turn the kurb on ground path option back on for the outside squares.

as for you second question just hold CTRL on your keyboard while placing paths to stop them from connecting to each other.

To show images, upload them to a site like Imgur or photobucket or something else then post the direct link. What you posted there is the location of the file on your hard drive. When you upload the image to another site, grab the direct link and either paste it into your post, or use [ img] <link goes here> [/img] for it be embedded within the post. There are also options for inserting a thumb nail so it doesn't take up loads of room. I see the editor already has a button for imgur wrapping so maybe use that site.
