Create an Arranged PVP System Similar to the New Multicrew System.

With the advent of the new multicrew system in the beta, it is obvious that the tools are already in place to warp commanders to locations to have them engage in wings. With that foundation laid out, I would hope to see a system where people can seek wings, or seek PVP in respective ships. This PVP system could range from finding both balanced to imbalanced fights. For example, A FDL vs a FDL, or a FDL vs a python. It could also arrange wing battles of up to 4 ships on each side. At the bare minimum, I think it would be quite easy to arrange 1v1's for the exact same ship, or go by ship size, small, medium, large etc.

Sadly I have grown bored with the game as I have already engineered and collected all the ships that I care to do so. I have explored, traded, and bounty hunted, and participated in the CG's and need something more to do. I just want an opportunity to use my ships in a more competitive fashion in the online community. Currently in open play, multiplayer interactions are somewhat constricted to griefing or being griefed. It is exceptionally rare to find someone who wants to 1v1, and rarer still that there is a balanced wing fight going on. The majority of the time, people are so bored that they go out trolling other players or destroying trade ships at CG's. Not to mention, the amount of time idling in a system to find people is also tedious at best. I think a designated combat system that IS NOT ARENA, but with our own engineered ships, may pull some of the griefers off of noobie traders and into a more rewarding and stimulating part of the game. People like me who don't get off on killing trade ships would also have their competitive edge satisfied and a renewed interest in the game.

I can get behind this idea.

We just need a similar lobby to multicrew.

Only the "Host" defines the location, by flying to it, or could select an area from a drop down list. Then people can join from anywhere. But will be placed back where they started if they quit, or the host disconnected.
The Hosts instance could be modified to remove all NPCs and other players, render any stations or capital ships guns offline, and remove rebuys.

The lore can simply be that he's created a virtual world around him, and other players are joining it. Hence why everything is a bit different.
You bring your own ship, of essentially a digital copy of it.

Sorting teams would be more difficult, but all against all would be relatively easy.

Not Wings, no - up to two additional player crew on a ship piloted by a player.

Sandro was quite clear last night on the stream that player ships would not be being transported about instantly.

Yea I meant out of game competition. If people wanted to compete out of the game they could essentially be teleported to a competitive arena to save them the travel time it would take to get there for some instant action. And then when it is over, obviously teleport them back to their original location.

And not be killed

Surely this is possible now, or something like it. A group of consenting PVPers could get together at an agreed location and battle it out. I'm not very well educated on such things but I believe there is nothing in game to stop them. There could be some basic rules which all agree to, for example if a commander wanted to try PVP he/she could join in but ask to apply rule. "no ship destruction". This rule might say something like commander can concede when ship is down to 10% and would be allowed to bug out of the fight. Of course the opponent is then considered to be the winner. Of course 2 or more commanders could agree to fight to the death if they want.
I would give this a go if I knew I could concede and be allowed to surrender without losing my ship. Also it's a way of learning combat skills without the cost of rebuy.
It needs a bit more thought but I'm sure something could be arranged.
