Creating a second commander

Hi everyone!

Sorry to post that dumb question and thanks in advance for a reply.

I got a main account with Horizons beta access, so no problem with that, works like a charm.

I recently want to have a second commander and purchase a new horizons package without beta access with the same account on the Frontier store.

My question is: How is it possible for me to get this work on the same computer with the same email and password. Something wrong with that.

I believe that you need to open a new account with a new email

Also, switching accounts on one PC will lead to entering a new verification code every time.

The way around this is a nifty little program called E-D-Account-Switcher.

You need to end and restart the launcher for switching, but it is less hassle than waiting for a new code every time.

I just installed the game twice in two separate folders. Much less hassle once you've done it.

If you bought your first game from Frontier then buy the second one thru Steam with a different email address, no log in verification issues, it's clean.

That's what I did.

No need for this, just install the second copy in a different folder / directory or drive - you now have two launchers, no need for re-verification.

Just create a copy of your entire Elite Installation Folder. And create Launcher shortcuts for each. You will have to patch each launcher and each game folder everytime there is a patch, so be aware of that.

No need for that. FD fixed that. I have 2 accounts with a single install (Steam) even though one of my CMDRs is a Steam account and the other isn't. I use FD's launcher and no longer need to do the verification every time I log in.
