creating unique ruins with "Weathering/erosion" quickly.

Problem: Identical Ruins. (ruins in general should not be identical weathering by nature)
This has been thought up already by someone on your team more then likely, as it is very obvious. As I personally was somewhat disappointed by the weathering of the ruins of identical sites. ie. exact pillars broken, laying the same way on the ground. Creating unique sites would be a year long task, which the art staff does not have.

Solution: Weathering texture/tool
But a tool to create a weathered texture or mesh, based on the procedural planets tech. To a much more milder degree, this way ruins can be thrown up more or less intact, and still have a unique feel. Slight variations can be in place for the ground, and for the faces of walls/objects; this way dirt/dents/broken edges can be applied procedurally for less work for the artistic team and provide a more emotional feel for the uniqueness of each ruin.
