Creating your own group or family

In RCT3 you could create your own family or group which would appear in the game. Is this also possible in PC? I know you have to create an avatar when starting the game for the first time, but does this avatar appear in the game? If yes, how can I find it?

Your avatar should appear in your own park. Finding it will require a good eye!

There was an early bird perk that allowed you to create a guest / group / staff member, and they will appear in other parks. That perk sadly is no longer available to buy.

Indeed, sad this perk is no longer available. So in order to find my avatar I have to create one that really stands out from the crowd[big grin]

It is not an early bird perk. The single avatar is. But the group and staff member is not. You have that confused with the VIP passes that they stopped selling for some odd reason.

he just meant that it was only available prior to the full release (during alpha)

From memory the ability to create a guest group/family was a VIP ticket option, which was only available during pre-order (as well as for those who bought Early Bird) and was an additional purchase (not connected to Early Bird or the pre-order itself). It's the same with the staff and the single VIP tickets.

That’s right.

Everyone can create an avatar (guest) that they can place down on the globe and that can visit their own parks.

VIP tickets are separate from the avatar of the player; VIP tickets that were for sale during the Early Bird phase of the game give the player the option to create an additional guest / guest group / staff member that they can find in their own parks and that can visit parks of other players.

So this quote you said in August of 2016 was false then correct?

I've learned more information about the VIP passes that will only be for sale until August 25th. There is some frustration as to what you can do with VIP tickets, and what you can do without them.

Basically, it comes down to this:
Everyone can create an avatar and place it on the globe in the main menu. This will be your icon that other players will see.
Once you've selected your in-game account through the avatar, everyone can create guests in-game using a kind of guest designer, and use it to create LOCAL single guests AND LOCAL guests groups. You will NOT be able to create staff.
This is for all players no matter which edition of the game they have.

Now for the VIP tickets:
VIP tickets give you the same ability to create in-game single guests or guest groups, depending on which VIP ticket type you have bought. The difference is that guests created with VIP tickets not only appear LOCAL, but also ONLINE in parks of other people all over the globe. This works the same for the VIP Staff passes; they are for creating a single staff member that will appear in your LOCAL parks and parks of other players all over the globe!

Zac and Richard Newbold can confirm this.

That quote is mostly correct, except for the ability to create guest groups. That is only for VIP Group ticket owners. Furthermore, the avatar that you create IS your single guest that will appear in local parks.

Unfortunately, it is only possible to create one avatar/single guest. It would be great if everyone could design multiple single guests and guest groups, but that’s not possible.
