Credit Balance Discrepancy

I've done a search on the forums but drew a blank on this.

When I log in to the support site at orerve.net and check my current credits, I see a figure that corresponds to my in-game credits. However, when I look at my stats from the pre-game multiplayer menu, I see a considerably lower balance displayed as "Credits Earned" or some such heading. Originally I assumed this was just credits earned from combat bond and bounty hunting. However, the total is around ten times too high a figure for that.

Can anyone explain this? Is it a known bug, or am I missing something?

I ticketed this a while back in Alpha 4.x, and its still listed as 'under investigation' now. At the time I convinced myself after keeping records of what happened in each flight, that bounties from combat kills were being added to the total earned, but not anything related to trade. It was in the 'known bugs' list as well for a bit - but I've not checked if it was still there.

That figure includes all the dough you've ever earned that is in your current balance and that you've spent on insurance, kit, ships, cargo etc... It's a small distinction but an important one

Yep. Mine also includes about 150,000cr on ships bought at stations (presumably by mail order) that never arrived.

Well, that still doesn't work. What I'm seeing there is about half the credits that I've spent on sidewinder weapons, a cobra, and the cobra's weapons.
