Credit rewards for winning a CZ?

Just had some fun with the 'new' CZs (yes, I am slow) and it seems like you don't get any rewards for fulfilling side goalds or winning the CZ, is that right? I believe you do get reputation and the faction gets more influence, but no money. I am a mercenary, I don't care about my reputation! :)

I think killing 4 spec ops ships should give you a nice little bonus.

Something else I'd like to discuss are retreating NPCs. When you make enemies retreat you are usually doing the controlling faction a favour, regardless if it's a pirate or in a CZ. How about rewarding players for retreats as well? Maybe 25% of the bounty / bond?

You should get rewards for scenarios - such as spec ops - I believe. If you want cash do AX CZ - 100k per wave
It's possible that I missed it, but I also defended some mega ships against pirate attacks and I got nothing but the bounties and reputation / influence increase.

I think they are supposed to be means to influence the factions - not so much credit rewards. I used to run them all the time, but after the engineers they became unplayable for me. Not much point playing the BGS game (for me) if you can't use the tools unless you grind for juice or queue up with others.

Hmm, you're probably right then, don't see any cash rewards in my journals, though I don't do regular CZ much . AX CZ do pay for waves though.

One thing does not rule out the other. How about influencing factions and earning credits at the same time?
Only reason I could see are 100% dedicated BGS players complaining about people messing with their efforts just because they want to earn some credits. But that's precisely the way the BGS is supposed to work. The idea behind the BGS is that it reflects our actions.

Well, if you want cash, try to get allied with one of the factions involved then pick some wing massacre missions.
You can get up to 45 millions for killing something like 60-72 ships. And you can get about 15-18 kills before you win the instance

I don't care for cash. I have enough cash to rebuy my ship 20 times and no other use for it. That doesn't mean people shouldn't get rewards for sucessfully completing goals.

Should everything should have a cash reward? I guess some people do think that, as evinced by all the advice to grinders, but - as you say - once you have a certain amount of CR does it really matter. I'd rather they gave out Pharmaceutical Isolators ;)

The reward is in the influence gain for the faction. And I think the influence gain is bigger if you complete the missions inside the CZ
The secondary reward is in the cash you get for each kill.
I mentioned a third reward, also in cash - but it seems you want a statue :giggle:

If someone asks me to complete a goal, yes, I should get a reward.

That's how it works for missions already, maybe a similar mechanic could be used for CZ rewards.

Mercenaries don't care for influence gain, they care for cash. CZs are clearly a mercenary activity. They are also used by people who are playing the BGS, and their reward is the influence gain, but that doesn't stop me from wanting a reward for fulfilling a goal.

Haven't read other responses, just wanted to give my 2c on the main points...

1) Yes, no monetary reward beyond the pitiful bonds which are generally lower than bounties at a hazres for less engineered and skilled NPCs.
2) The reputation and inf gain/loss is at best a red herring. You do NOT lose any reputation with the enemy faction for fighting against them, and this is absolutely as it should be. In fact, it used to be the case long ago that you lost rep with factions you fight in CZs and it was patched out, due to the fact that if your faction had no assets or presence in any other system, and you were hostile to the controlling factoin, you could no longer do any meaningful kind of work in that system. So just ignore that little concluding banner.
3) Retreating them is winning, I've never killed every ship and in fact I don't think it's possible, more wings keep spawning until the retreat is forced.

Certainly agree, these should give a lot more credits.
