Credits for Dollars/Euros/whatever

What do you think of FDev selling in-game credits for real dollars? It seems like a way for them to make money and people to avoid trade-grinding. I know, many of you will say that everyone should have to get their credits they way you did.

But here's the deal, I hate trading. And I'm not interested in buying paint-jobs or anything else from Frontier. I'm not sure if I'm interested in the "walking around / landing on planets" expansion, we'll have to see. I would consider paying $1 for 1,000,000 credits though (actually, they could make it a minimum of $5 for 5,000,000 or whatever to make up for the fees they have to pay). I'd actually be willing to spend $20 for 20,000,000 credits right now, I'd love to have an Asp. Or for people who screw up on their insurance and don't want to have to start over...

Since a lot of people say the game isn't about competition, then I don't see what those people have to complain about. If I want to take the short route to an Asp (or whatever), what's it any business of theirs?

This seems like a win-win. FDev gets more money, players get more stuff

I think its an horrible Idea, I wouldn't like to play a game where real money can be used for anything other than cosmetic stuff.

Players are so lazy they would rather pay someone to play the game for them rather than play it themselves. This is why we have nothing but nerf requests, its the next best thing to typing in infinite cash cheats.

In short: cash to credits would water the game down. And if you hate trading, don't trade.

No play to win here. FD don't want it, the players don't want it. If you don't want to trade don't play a trading game.

I think it's a great idea. As it is I'm seeing kids on here who spend 24 hours playing, whining that they can't take down big expensive ships with a few shots. I'm also seeing an interesting (and disturbing to me) affinity towards Marxist movements. Both have a sense of entitlement at their core.

Pay2win would allow those of us who love the game but who actually contribute to society and work also do well in the game. It also allows Frontier to make money long term and improve the game as we move forward
