I think I'm just getting too excited for the new season of The Expanse but the issue of crew has always bothered me, I think I remember reading a ship like a 'conda needs a crew of 30 to run it properly.
I think the ship has sailed on this but it would have added something to the game for me if on bigger ships a module of "crew quarters" (or something like that) has been an option in the same way we get a free planetary landing module. These crew are not really like the multi-crew "command" crew but rather just the people that keep your ship in the air.
Crew keep systems up and running at maximum potential, damage to hull could lead to a small chance of some dying and a slight tiny drop off in system performance in some way. Next time you dock you need to fill up on more crew, almost like you would with ammo or AFM ammo.
I know, this kinda picks on bigger ships a little but then there's a reason a 'conda has better shields than an eagle and the trade off of that in lore is that these ships need more crew to run them. I swear if the game let us fly capital ships we'd be the only one flying them, this lonely dude walking up and down the corridors bouncing a rubber ball of the walls.
Like I said, the ship has sailed on this and it's probably not something they would add now but I think if something along these lines had been in launch people wouldn't really think anything of it and it would have added to the feel of bigger ships. For me personally though, it really would have added something to the game, I hate bigger ships looking and feeling empty, like I'm the only one on board.
YES I know I can use my imagination, I just like it when the game slightly plays along with me, the smallest of things like the above make huge differences to me when they fuel my imagination.
