I like to look at the back stories of the possible crew I may hire. But when reading through the options I don't find any that I find to my liking.

Can we can an option to refresh the crew lounge to find people that we'd prefer to have as crew?

Not a high priority by any means. I even tried logging out and back in but it doesn't refresh the lounge.

If you have the cash and a free crew slot you can just hire one and then immediately fire them. That seems to generate a new crew member in the now-vacant spot. I imagine it does so indefinitely though I don't think I've tried more than once.

I'd love to be able to refresh the list, though, as you suggest. I'd also like to be able to preview their voice. Never fails that I find a crew member whose background aligns nicely with my own character's and who looks somewhat human only to find out light-years away in our first battle that they have that one voice in the game you can't stand. I guess I'm pretty shallow :D

I hire and fire mine at the end of every set of missions that I use the SLF in, so I really don't care at this point what they look like, or what sex they are. I prefer the British pilots, but since I always terminate their contract before I cash in on any rewards makes all that a moot point. ;)

Anyone who is keeping on one of these pilots really should pay attention to how much of your $$ is being syphoned away from your own bank account to keep these pilots in your roster. Whether they are active or not.

Its insane actually.
