Crew Payment Question

Just a quick question about crew profit shares.

Does leveling a lower level crew member keep the lower initial profit share? So if I were to hire a harmless with the 8% share (or whatever it is) will he keep that as he/she levels up or will they adjust to say 12% at expert like a normal new hire at that rank.

I have trained a harmless (2%) npc to novice level so far. They stayed at 2% when mostly harmless but went to a 4% cut at novice level.

Npc crew hired at novice level take a 6% cut so there is a slight reduction if you train them yourself.

Mostly harmless to novice took 1 hr in a high intensity res site.
