crew + SRV

No, the SRV is completely disabled while you have crew aboard. Probably had technical problems implementing but that doesn't stop it being the biggest oversight of the feature.

Yeah, probably the helm can't take the srv because the engine have to control the ship instance, while crew can't because... well, telepresence :D

But is too silly in appereance. The other two crew members could take multiple SRVs excepting the helm, just as it is with SLFs.

Sandro was very unclear when talking about no SRV in MC. He said something vague about edge cases, and some "technical" problems about telepresence. Do edge cases matter that much in programming? and how in the world telepresence is a "technical" problem?. I would really appreciate if someone else understands the problem from a programmer's point of view. Is all this really that difficult to solve as to give such a minimal version of a headline vision that was supposed to be deep and central for the future of the game?

And on top of it all, Sandro admitted there were no other plans for MC, it is simply not part of the future. When asked, he said it will depend on the reception from the community, but that there were no more plans to it, in spite of it being advertised as totally different. Check this link (I couldn't find the original source) and this one. And there is another video somewhere where they talked about none of the things that finally came with it.

It is disappointing to see not that it changed, but how much it did. Is OK if it isn't exactly as envisioned, but the simplification was extreme, and in some cases really hard to understand. They had so many ideas, that Sandro saying they have no more plans is perplexing (no, it is actually annoying).

EDIT: found the link, here it is! Please, notice that everything is presented as things will be. All this in the context of launching Season 2.

Yeah, it will be difficult for it to have a future if they actually (and there's an if) base their plans on its reception from the comunity, because a so barebone feature is bound to have little use.

Programming notwithstanding it would be nice with two M-C SRVs collecting rare materials reducing the collection time by half. Three player ships each having two SRVs could take turns collecting for each other. Wouldn't be much of a balance issue when players are collecting for another versus themselves. Not to mention all the fun when a dozen M-C SRVs show up to play demolition derby! Won't happen but nice to dream...
