Horizons Crew

Just thinking of hiring a crew member, but first can some please explain what it is they actually do. Do you hire them and then give them a passenger mission which they complete themselves or are they just there as a co-pilot, I'd like to find out before wasting my credits.

You only need crew if you have a Fighter Bay. They either fly the fighter or fly the ship whilst you fly the fighter.

They have no other purpose or function in the game.
