Crime & Punishment: Oversights or Working As Intended

I logged in 2 of accounts; Both of them in Cutters. I had account B in the passenger seat of Account A.

Got a 400cr bounty. Paid of the bounty at the local FDEV-Police-Station, and carried on.

Later, I switch to Account B and noticed it too had a 400cr bounty and had station lockout. leaving it in a 1.4bn Cutter and no-where to go.

Question; The crime was committed by Account A, In Ship belonging to Account A. Should the bounty not stay on Ship A? Why is Ship B incurring a bounty for something that did not happen in it?

Seems stupid to me, to say all crimes stay on the ship, and to then be transferring them to other ships?

Discuss :D

Prologue: After launching in Ship B, I 'gave her some wellie' out of the grill, and might have scratched a cops paint, cuz the bounty had gone up by the time I got to the FDEV-Po-lice-Station.

Interesting.

In th eold days when you left a multi-crew session you could give up all rewards in exchange for not taking the bounty/fines.
Not done multi-crew post 3.0 - is that still an option when you leave?

i've never seem 'give up rewards' message. I didn't even notice the bounty on my 2nd account until I tried to change ship.

It is still an option when you leave MC, yep.

No, this isn't an oversight.

It's stated that, when committing crimes when a crew member, the bounties incurred, with be transferred onto your -Most expensive ship-

If you give up the rewards, you also give up the crimes you comitted too.

The idea here is, that you can't get away with being a crime troll in multicrew, because the bounties get applied to your most expensive ship.

However, as you can either just not take the rewards and not get any of the bounties, or, have a super expensive ship, that you just leave as the bounty holding ship for this kind of behaviour, that doesn't really work out too well.

As well as the fact it is kind of harsh to have your most expensive ship get a bounty when multicrewing, it does kind of put me off it a bit, which is a shame.

They should have made it that when multi-crewing and getting a bounty, the ship you own which is closest in value to the ship you were on in multi-crew gets the bounty. This way if you get a bounty on while multi-crewing on a ship with a rebuy of under a million CR, it doesn't apply the bounty to your 15 million CR rebuy ship unless its the only ship you own. It is not fair to have the potential to loss a significantly more expensive vessel than the one you caused to get a bounty, unless you are a repeat offender.
