i have a 1060 with an intel 8400 cpu, and i get like 50 fps in a zoo with 3000 guests and with all the settings at max (except for shadows, that one is low).. i notice that when my fps drop to like 30 or so, that happens because of chrome that is open (and doing something), or something else is draining the cpu. Maybe you can look at what other programs you have running that can cause this, because this should not happen with those specs
yeah especcialy with the twitch app (or twitch on chrome) the game stutters like crazy (so i just watch it on my phone, lol)Yes true, on my big zoo I can't watch YouTube on my second monitor. I can on my Arctic Zoo though.

i am currious about this too, although i think there is no pc that can handle that (or a full zoo) without lag/low fpsI'm curious, have anyone managed to create a big zoo without any lag and low fps? And if so, what kind of pc do you have? (and by big zoo I mean minimun 7-8k guests, covering at least 50% of the map and over 300 animals)

Also what i don't understand, is that whem my cpu is ablittle above the requirements, the cpu load for this game will be a constant 90ish%, even when i change the settings from ultra to the lowest possible :O with other games that i play on ultra with lets say 70%cpu load, when i change the settings to the lowest, the cpu load also drops for that game
Well i hope you know that he/she/it is saying he/she/it and MANY other People on the Internet is running Planet Zoo in DX12, but..... no one is going to tell how, and no one ever found something about that using Google. ^^The thing is that PZ is very CPU heavy and there's kind of a bottleneck 'cause it only really utilises one core with the game still using dx11 and all that (which is why so many people are asking for dx12 support 'cause that might help with said bottleneck issue) so even a high-end CPU will sooner or later meet a wall with this game. The graphic settings don't have that much of an effect on the CPU since those are more dependend on the GPU...thousands of guest, staff and animal thoughts and actions etc. that need to be calculated and executed constantly however not so much, those are all things your CPU has to deal with.
So while we all know Frontier's always working on performace as well I doubt we'll ever see such a zoo (whole map covered, with detailed buildings, 10k guests + hunderts of animals and staff) running smoothly. Not unless something really major happens or somebody here buys a NASA computer to play this game...

Hey @evrard! This is super strange. Could you send your Dxdiag to community@frontier.co.uk? Could you also let us know what other programs you're running and if your system overheats?

Good luck!I have to finish my PhD sometime, haha
