I have put here a list of birds to raise awareness around the world to avoid their possible extinction
- Cebu flowerpecker: It was feared to have become extinct early in the 20th, but was rediscovered in 1992. The current population is estimated to be between 85 and 105
- White-headed vulture
- Ultramarine lorikeet: Nowadays, the rare bird only remains on Ua Huka. On Ua Huka, the population is estimated to be at about 1,000-2,499. It is said that if the black rat manages to reach Ua Huka, the ultramarine lorikeet could become extinct within 20 years
- Giant ibis: This bird is in the top 100 of the most threatened birds in the world. The current population is estimated at 100 pairs, with a total population (including young and juveniles) of fewer than 500 individuals. However, even these figures may be optimistic. In 2018 the IUCN stated there were less than 200 mature individuals in the population.
- Cantabrian capercaillie: It is a subspecies of the western capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus), a galliform bird of the Phasianidae family endemic to the Cantabrian mountains.
- Sinú parakeet: BirdLife International estimates that if the bird is not already extinct, no more than 50 likely exist
