Critique my Vulture loadout?

Life support reactivation will not reset timer. You have to dock to reset it.
It will, if you don't believe me just check, it's quite easy: get out of a station, cut your life support power, get the timer, restore the life support the timer disappear(as long as your canopy is intact, the atmosphere will be restored).
Edit: hey i checked, i was wrong, you were right, it won't. Pretty sure it used to be that way before at some point when i tried the power thing in early gamma so i guess they fixed that.

No. If I'm going to actually put myself in danger, I want to bring weapons that will actually be useful.

If a Python or Anaconda CMDR is vulnerable enough for me to leverage PAs against them effectively, then they are either poorly armed traders, completely incompetent, or hopelessly outnumbered. I frequently fight incompetent CMDRs, but I rarely fight traders and I rarely outnumber my foes. When I do, I rarely bother recording the turkey shoot. The idea of a Clipper sticking around to get shot at by a Vulture with PA is fairly laughable; ship is more than 40m/s faster than the Vulture.

But they might be good against those! You could always take out the thrusters once the shields are gone.

So, as long as you can't power up the life support in combat you effectively only have 25mins of combat time before having to head back to a station? Could be viable for PvP, still.

Yeah I like the D life support. Of course your power n distributor want to be maxed.
the rest is really a matter of choice based on compromises based around weapon your fave weapon choice.

I don't even bother with cargo racks in my Vulture. That's what my Python, or Clipper, or Asp is for.

Actually one way to deal with the support system power consumption is to equip an A (25 minutes of O²) and put it down the power management list. Deploy your weapons and just remember to retract them in 15 minutes for a few seconds to reset the oxygen cycle before you have less than 10 minutes spare (you don't want your canopy to break at the end of your "i am totally a tie pilot" cycle with only have a few minutes left believe me)

I agree with your approach of using your oxygen supply alone during combat, having the life support module set in your lowest priority group so it's turned off once hardpoints are deployed is a useful tactic many don't consider to save power, 25 mins is more than enough time to get a fair bit of combat accomplished, but I am a little confused as to your supply getting reset, you surely have to dock to get the oxygen replenished yes? (unless you're doing something I'm not aware of?)
