Crom

So after a whole bunch of missions and work I got a Crom permit :)

Let's have a look on the galaxy map, hmm no info panel description on this system, how mysterious, it must be top secret, I bet there's something amazing going on!

What mysteries will be revealed?

Oh boy I can't wait!

Drop in, nothing showing?

Hmm let's do a scan....

Ahhh! :(

An industrial outpost, an extraction outpost no less, that mines... umm?

No wonder they're bust, this does not seem like a good business plan.

LMAO :D
ROFL, you fell for it too! I got a permit from these clowns as well. There is no other outpost I know of that is the only companion of a star, at least that is something.
I thought the van Maanen system was boring, but the sublime order is like Sodom and Gomorrah compared to this place :p

Actually, they are part of our groups unofficial lore...here's what we think we know:

I am not surprised. Of the permits that I have, less than a handful border on nearly exciting.

To appreciate Crom, you must understand it. In the heart of the bubble, anarchy system, but you're allied with the boys in charge, nothing is illegal xcept tox.waste. A good black market. nice Smugglers place to offload 'stuff'

Heh nice.

Frontier should paste all that in the info panel. =p

I would really love to see this happen. FD wants the players to bring the galaxy to life. The Crom system and the worship of Crom Cruach is an important part of our player groups story and indeed the history of the Lugh systems backstory. Much of the lore of Lugh has already been accepted as cannon and I think it would be a great touch for FD to acknowledge player input to help colour the galaxy they have created. It would make the galaxy more interesting while at the same time bring solid relavence to player created content that players from outside their group can learn, see the value of and interact with.

by allowing the player base have an input they are having a mountain of work done for them while at the same time allowing the player base have the game they way they like it - to a degree.

A simple few lines describing the system in system view or the galaxy map is all it takes and adds a lot to the game. They have already done this in the Lugh system as can be seen in the galaxy map in the current Beta based on our player groups efforts in the game.

Now of course I am in complete agreement that the player created content must be both acceptable to the cannon game lore and be of a certain standard requiring approval but I would dearly love to see FD embrace this idea.

I got this permit last week, and I was going to start a thread just like this.
.
There is nothing at Crom, but the outpost. Rather than a mining outpost, it should be a pirate base. They are a pirate faction after all.
.
Another idea I had, from the Nights Dawn trilogy, where criminal syndicates would have secret outposts producing antimatter. So Chorel Survey could be an antimatter production system, so it sells a rare good explosive - antimatter.
One ton of antimatter would be a tad dangerous - but a cargo pod would be mostly containment and probably only have about a gram.

Haha this is making me laugh. I was really stuck for something to do recently having finished Witcher 3 and thought I'd boot up ED see what's changed since 1.4 aside from boring horizons. Thought to myself that one thing I hadn't done yet was work for a nobody faction and earn a per it to their home system.

I picked this bunch. Crom Silver boys.

I've gotten to friendly with them after any number of bugged missions and incredibly low pay outs. I'll be not going any further with this gameplay. It was feeling like I was just "working for the man" but thought it might be enlightening and worth it somehow. Seems like it's really not.

So thanks OP. I'll download bioshock infinite and play that until the next big update.
