In ED Newsletter 47 of 31-10. they show a marvelous viper in crome.
In the accompanying text it says

Ok so I go into the store today 24/11 and see the viper for sale.

text in store is this:

I guess they did not say what 22nd november.
Am i missing somthing ? Is it a error. I don't care to much but i guess some will perhaps feel a bit cheated.
Just wondering if i missed somthing.
And I do like the game and developers of it if you was wondering.
Just a small error on ED behalf perhaps.


EDIT: CROME VIPER HAVE NOW BEEN REMOVED, CHECKED IT ON 26 NOV.

Maybe it sold so well, they decided to keep it going? I thought it was going away 22nd Nov as well. I made sure to buy it before then.

But, you're right its still for sale.

Glad to know i'm not starting to hallucinate.

So in effect it was a bit of misinformation.
I specifily bought the crome version because it would not be available to other than Alpha/beta backers.
And certainly not to those who start at gamma.
A nice way to show ingame that you was beta/alpha backer.
But now i feel a bit well in lack of a better word. Cheated
Not a biggie but it would be nice if FD stood by it's promices and not worshipped the cash instead.
I believ it was a slip, they have a lot of things going on.
so correct it.

Man the gfx of this game is just pure eyecandy. FD got some serious talent employed. Can't wait till we can walk around our ships and admire them, hehe.

Bet we'll never see a "perfect stealth black" for any ship, because if they ever put that out nobody would use anything else. The NPCs with their incredible radar vision would still pick you up optically at normal ranges but other cmdrs would have a problem.

My Cobra 30th Anniversary skin is very close to pure black :)

Yeah, I have that one too, but those of us who've been flying Cobras since '84 tend to have trained our eyes to cue in on that distinctive wireframe, even if you only see a few pixels of it ;)

I noticed the chrome viper is still in the shop. I know they seem to be flat out at the moment, but they could have put it on a timer. I wanted a bit of exclusive bling. Hope that shiny little viper gets himself lost in the void, pronto! :p

I didn't end up buying it myself because it's not actually "chrome" but more a brushed aluminium look. A REAL chrome Viper would look awesome but not really taken with the aluminium can sorry FD :p

Created a store ticket to make fontier aware of the problem.
And must say that possibel future skin buys hang on their response.
I really want to trust them, but if they continue to sell the crome viper how can i ?
in referense to starting post.
Please correct the error.
