Cross save

Hi Elite friends

I have a pretty well progressed save on my PC and was wondering if I was to buy the game for my Xbox would I be able to play that save on the console?

Has Fdev even talked about this recently or given an idea if this is a goal soon or in the future? Not counting the usual deflections of course. I feel like this is glossed over repeatedly despite it being a clear win for the community.

As far as we know cross-play or cross-progression is not in the plans at all.
