Crossover Multicrew for PS5 & PC possible?

Quite new to the game but really love it so far. I got my first multicrew ship and was not sure if my brother can join in. He is using a PS5 and me PC.

Elite's netcode is interesting. They could certainly make crossplatform Teams possible but they would have to redo some coding of course.

Now people who say the netcode is totally awful just had bad experiences. I can assure you Elite's netcode is just quirky and not bad. My faction has people all over the planet. Just last night I was in a full team with people from Australia and Finland while I'm on East Coast USA and the connection was better than most games I play that only connect me to people in my region. The Netcode really only breaks down when you get instances of 10+ people in one area.

Technically entirely possible. The hurdles are primarily political/business ones. Still, I wouldn't expect to see it.

Also confirmed that there were no plans for current gen consoles either but I'm hoping that is something that is being reviewed (one of the reasons for the radio silence in 2022?) given the optimisation issues they've had with PC...cross play/save is console Raaxla :)

Last August, before even Launching JWE2 FDev said they have no plans to add Camp Cretaceous in JWE2
Yesterday they announced the next DLC - Camp Cretaceous, incoming this very month - March 8th.

So Plans can always change.
Now, where is my Cobra Mk4?

8th March will be a busy day at Frontier Towers.

Two DLC releases on the same day - JWE2 DLC & EDO U11 patch + FC Interiors.

what could possibly go wrong...
