Crypsis paintjobs low res, hmm?

The idea behind crypsis is very nice and done very well. I'd love to see fdev producing even more of these paintjobs.

However, a mild letdown was seeing the paintjob up close, close to be able to see your ship's name. Big fat lines that glow in the dark are low-res. Looking good from afar, but very bad up close (resembling those print-jobs that people do using small, monitor-sized images stretched 100x the size).

I think it's not only Phantom, but all ships having Crypsis paints available are low res. It doesn't seem as an overlook by devs, but a concious decision. Wondering why...

I'm not sure what we are looking at here ... the Krypsis doesn't match the panels, but that's deliberate, so I think it looks OK. Unlike some paint jobs where wavy lines are obvious at edges.

The first image is vibrant, tactical or whatever paintjob. Notice some crisp and nice orange colour lines. On the right is the Crypsis paintjob. Big lines are jagged/pixelized due to overstretching, or something other we don't understand.

Unfortunately, some of the paintjobs stuffer from that. Check Python Squadron one (or something like that - white ones with coloured stripes). Really low res up close. I really regret buying it, but it was back in the time where you couldn't preview them in hangar and by the time I've realised it was too late to return it.

Maybe they're done like that on purpose, but frankly I don't see any point to that.

And here is the Phantom with crypsis looking from underneath .... that grey part of the ship looks low res too 😧

I can also see a repeat of OP's complaint about the paint, and a bit more.
