CTRL+AL+B No Longer Brings up The Bandwidth

CTRL+ALT+B used to bring up your internet bandwidth in the bottom left corner of the screen before the Beyond update patch. This was a very useful too for knowing whether other CMDRs were in the same instance as you.

Was this function intentionally patched out or is it a bug that it's missing? Has FD made any mention of this anywhere?

It's much easier to just use the comms panel tab to do this (can't remember which tab - the one that lists all the commanders you've met). This shows all commanders in your instance (i.e. the time will be showing Now, for when encountered).

I beg to differ. Showing the bandwidth has always been the easier way because you can immediately see it on the bottom left of your screen and its numbers update right before your very eyes, meaning you know exactly when CMDR traffic has increased or decreased in your instance. Checking the contacts tab every other minute is obviously sub par to that.

Besides, the contact panel itself has some bugs going on with it as well ever since the Beyond update. Sometimes I can't even scroll down the list of contacts and I have to re-log just to get it working again.

All I can say to that is... To each their own. :) I prefer the comms panel.
That's cool, no problems here. However the Bandwidth information was also a very useful tool for determining if something from your internet's end might be causing the game to lag or drop FPS and etc. It was a valuable diagnostic tool in addition to being useful as a CMDR traffic monitor.

It would be a really weird move for FD to patch it out on purpose and if, as I suspect, it is a bug then it needs to be fixed ASAP. As well as the function to bring up the FPS counter (CTRL+ALT+F) which also has gone missing.

For what its worth i think you've been pressing an extra key for no reason....
Unless I've somehow got custom keybinds for something I've never adjusted you only need ctrl+b or ctrl+f.
I've confirmed that ctrl+b works on the main menu screen and the bandwidth monitor pops up but not in game for me either.

Assume a bug, be quite happy if they got rid of both the hollow targets and the bandwidth monitor but i can't see it ever happening.

ctr+f does not work for me either. Its quite refreshing using the 2nd tab on the comms hud, when you are being paranoid though.

FD did consider solids for player characters, there was a fairly even divide in the DDF at the time if I recall. I agree with you though, I think the game would be more interesting if we were solid shapes. Some of the players up to nogood are getting very good at hiding right next to an NPC, maksing them on the scanner.
