About the Competition
Ctrl+Alt+Space is our first ever film competition. We're inviting Elite: Dangerous players to make a video using the in-game debug camera and a selected piece of original Elite: Dangerous music from original score composer Erasmus Talbot.
How Do I enter?
Make a short film (no longer than four minutes) using this selected track [download 17.2mb] from Elite: Dangerous composer Erasmus Talbot, this opening title card [download 8.7mb] and the debug camera.
EDIT - track rules: original score must not be looped or repeated.
With your film you can be as creative as you want. Surprise us with your ideas, use the music and title how you please and put the debug camera to creative use.
We want all entries to be in by the end of the day on May 8, 2015. Upload your finished film to YouTube and mail us at community@frontier.co.uk with a link.

How will the competition be judged?
Six videos will be selected by Frontier Developments' Art Director Chris Gregory to be put to the Elite: Dangerous community for the final round of judging.
The community will be polled after the shortlist is announced.
The judging will then close on May 15 and winners will be announced shortly afterward.

What will I win?
The overall winner will receive the first ever Elite: Dangerous Community Award - a unique Elite: Dangerous medal awarded exclusively to players who make an outstanding contribution to the community.
You'll also have the honour of being the community’s favourite filmmaker, feature on the front of our official YouTube page with a link to your YouTube channel, and win an Elite: Dangerous video starter pack which includes a signed Elite: Dangerous soundtrack, a Mad Catz headset, a Logitech mouse and keyboard, and a video capture card.

How do I use the debug camera?
As the name of the competition suggests, you can press Ctrl+Alt+Space to access the debug camera in Elite: Dangerous. The controls for the Debug Camera can be assigned in Options > Controls by scrolling down to the Miscellaneous controls section and selecting the debug camera toggle option.
Rules and Extra Information
- Videos must be no longer than four minutes (the track is one minute long, but can be used how you choose). Other sources of audio can be used.
- The footage must include the title card (download file above), and the selected track from Erasmus Talbot.
- Objectionable or offensive content will disqualified.
- No copyrighted material should be used in your films.
- Once the shortlist and winners have been selected, Frontier's decision is final. Frontier reserves the right to disqualify or remove entrants from the competition.
- YouTube and poll orders will be randomised to ensure that no video on the shortlist is privileged over others.
Good Luck!
