Curious: how many of you backers are still actively playing?

Full disclosure: I joined at the start of PB, have been playing pretty intensely since then, with a 2 month break in the middle. I also played Elite on C64 many moons ago. Love ED, and play it weekly. But, as I see mostly new posters on the forum, I don't have a much of a sense as to how many backers are still actively playing. I'm hoping "a lot". Please report for duty if you're a backer, and still playing.... just to satisfy my curiosity and as a sign of ongoing support and enthusiasm for the game.

Thanks in advance!

DDF backer and alpha tester. I've racked up literally thousands of hours since December 2013, and play almost daily.

Strange thing is, I complain about the game constantly :p

Joined at PB. Wished I'd known about the kickstarter - I'd have been throwing money at my monitors back then, but alas...

Still playing a little bit.

Went from starting off bounty hunting to Exploring.

Been to Sag. A* and beyond - and back.

Wrote and published Captain's Log for explorers like me.

Out exploring again - although this time around it's becoming a REAL struggle to play right now - I want to land on some of my earthlikes. I want to see a bit of life in this galaxy - even just a bloomin' human avatar or ten thousand.... can we please see some life in this galaxy, FDEV? Static drawings of cartoon characters don't do it for me. Will never participate in powerplay - to me that's just some unwanted add-on that jars with the whole Elite vibe.

FDEV - concentrate on adding LIFE to the galaxy - that way I can begin to CARE about things in it. Right now, for me, ED is nothing more than a galaxy simulator - a very lifeless one at that.

If this lack of life carries on much more, I don't think I can hit PLAY for much longer.

I do realise that ED is still in its infancy - but watching FDEV concentrate on jarring add-ons like powerplay, rather than adding life, planetary landings, walking around ships/stations etc. - that dismays me.

I also fear that FDEV will cave in to the guilders - another thing which is utterly jarring to the Elite concept in my opinion.

Started during PB, and still here. I play in binges, though, so I'll have periods where I play everyday interspersed with periods where I play little or not at all. Right now, I'm on a binge ;) For all the rought edges, annoyances (like the recent reputation decay, which REALLY hurts when you binge-play) and half-finished implementations of the various gameplay elements, I love the game. Can't wait for when it's actually finished, then it'll be a game for the ages!

Kickstarter. Early Alpha Backer. Joined the forum in 2006.
I enjoy the game and play when my work allows me. Use to be most on the weekends.
I play exclusiv in a private Group.
Looking forward to future expansions like planetary landings. Game is not "complete" for me with out that.

On and off since beta, more so after major updates but I always come back, a break here and there keeps things fresh.

I like to see what's new and improved, I just hope in the next year there are things to keep me on it longer!

PB backer
Still active
Have my own goals and Agenda I am pushing in lue of Power Play :p

That said getting the itch again to head out an explore, last time only made it as far as Sag A*

I came in at Premium Beta and am only playing about once a week these days.
Lack of content is my main concern just now.

DDF member, play at least once or twice a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. I bought the game and backed at a high level for long term reasons, as in I want to be playing in another decade if its still going, so I am not as concerned over content as others as its coming, nor going to pressure myself to play just to play or to grind to get to some mythical endpoint.

Hope that makes sense.
